This collection includes eight letters by Croker, and fifteen letters received by him. Almost all of the letters relate to Croker's interest in Samuel Johnson, including several relating to his edition of The Life of Samuel Johnson, LL.D. Only two letters relate to Croker's service as Admiralty Secretary.
